Does Sunlight Make The Waves Better In Hawaii? + Noa Deane Rides A 1970s Single Fin Shaped By Dad

Everybody knows the waves in Hawaii are better once the sun comes up, but not everyone can explain why. Good thing we have Dr. Cliff Kapono and The MEGA Lab. Cliff gives us a bit of scientific and anecdotal evidence for the magic of North Shore sunlight.

After laying hammers on a familial blade last week, Noa Deane takes a different approach on one of his dad’s more retro creations. With one fin, two hefty downrails, and some help from pops, Noa transports us back to Sunset in the early 70s.
